VSM Information for Teachers
Research shows that teachers are in the best position to provide drug education as part of an ongoing whole-school program. Many classroom teachers do not feel comfortable in this area, however, particularly when it comes to such a challenging topic as volatile substance misuse (VSM).

Volatile Substances Video
Watching videos and interacting with visual media are engaging ways to help students learn. To assist teachers in this area DARTA has produced an educational video that provides some general information about volatile substances and the risks associated with their misuse. Topics discussed in the video include ‘sudden sniffing death’, the impact of VSM on the brain and the importance of getting medical assistance should something go wrong.
